What is Needling?

Needling

Needling, known as collagen induction therapy, is done with the use of tattoo equipment, or a Dermaroller® device, without any ink or pigment. The needles puncture the skin, creating perforations. This stimulates collagen production and skin renewal.

Needling can improve the following: smooths wrinkles and expression lines; improves skin texture; reduces scars; treats acne scarring; improves stretch marks.

Collagen Induction Therapy

Collagen induction therapy is an aesthetic medical procedure that involves repeatedly puncturing the skin with tiny, sterile needles (micro-needling the skin) in order to induce endogenous production of cutaneous collagen. It is often referred to as "micro-needling" or "skin needling" in media and literature, however it is important to distinguish it from other micro-needling procedures, such as transdermal drug delivery, vaccination, etc. Typically, the procedure involves a specialized device called a micro-needling device such as a Dermaroller®.
